The fanatics will have *2 computers*, with the chess program running on the 2nd computer. On the one which is connected with the server, nothing runs in the background. They enter the moves in the 2nd computer, and then the progs reply in the first... and believe me, they *can* do that even in fast blitz. It has been demonstrated. And checking for thinking times (?!) is an absolutely useless idea. Where does that come from? I can't imagine that a serious chess server has even considered that. Note that a constant thinking time per move would even prove that it *can't* be a program... (that should really be obvious folks). http://www.talkchess.com/forums/1/message.html?289035 http://www.talkchess.com/forums/1/message.html?289034 Regards, M.Scheidl
