- It is a special "Edition 2003" sold in large computer shops etc.
- price usually is € 29,90 (20 less than the normal version)
- it does not include the "classic" GUI (and no 4-piece tablebases)
- it includes the Fritz/ChessProgram.8 GUI and a large games database
- the new content are some Kosteniuk interview videos on CD 2
(but it seems some video files are missing on the second CD unfortunately)
- the Shredder 7.SE engine has only a few most important engine options
- ChessBase offers no engine update for this version, at least not currently
- M.Meiler has reported test results (of 100 positions) between V.7 and 7.04

My own Quicktest results of 7.SE are very good (but I have no comparison with
7/7.04); and in the WM Test the endgame result was even a bit better than those
of the other 7.x versions. - So I'm satisfied, because I use Shredder especially
for analysis of endgame positions often.

OTOH, people who do not yet have the classic GUI 6 or 7, and/or want to be able
to update to the very latest version 7.04, and/or want to experiment with the
large set of engine options the normal version offers, should consider the
normal version (but in each case downoad the update(s); the ChPr.8 GUI has been
improved too).
