Australia uses 240V AC, but I don't think this is important information to fix
your problem.

All you need to do is replace your power adapter.  The only important bits you
need to worry about is the power adapters output voltage, current and the
size/type of plug that plugs into your chess computer.  This information should
already be written on the existing Australian power adaptor. Just take the
existing power supply to your local Radio Shack and the sales guy there should
find it easy to find a replacement for you.
