Note #2:
Look carefully at the body of the transformer. You may see a circle with a large
"S" design (with the "S" lying on it's back), if so, the transformer should be
giving you AC. If you see a circle with two straight lines (typically one longer
than the other, but still straight lines), it's a sign of DC power output.

If you can't find ANY indication of the output, you may want to call the
manufacturer and let them tell you, or get the converter to plug the transformer
into a 220 socket in the states, and have someone meter it for you.
