If the adapter/transformer uplugs from the unit then take it back to Radio Shack
and ask the guy to measure the output when plugged into the wall. He should be
able to tell you if it's AC or DC. If he can't do that then tell him to find
another job. The output will be low since the input will be 120v instead of
240v. You will need an adapter/transformer which gives about 2 times the
measured voltage and a minimum of 300 milliamperes (500 milliamperes would be
better). The voltage needed may be less since the adaptor will have no load
attached when measureing the output. As a reference I have a Fidelity Mach III
Master which runs on 9v Dc/350 milliamperes. My Prestige needs 8v AC/1.5 amps.
Both are much more power hungry than the CC10. So the bottom line is it will
probably need 9v DC/350 milliamperes or about 8v AC @ 1amp. I suspect neither
is critical since the unit probably has a 5 volt regulator inside.
Good Luck
