Subject: Crafty "generic" broken in Makefile

Author: Matthew Hull

It looks like "make generic" breaks becuase other makefile commands are
expecting "target" to be defined (gcc chokes on the lone "-D ").

You can add an arbitrary target name for the UNIX being used like
"linux-zseries" for example (linux on IBM Z-series mainframes), but this exposes
logic holes in chess.h and utility.c. Those files must be edited to accomodate
the new target.

"Generic" might be better labeled "custom" with a caveat in the comments for
chess.h and utility.c. The logic holes are easily corrected for the new target,
though newbies might not find it easy.

Regards,
Matt
