Hi John and thanks for your reply!
Well, I haven’t any source code of ZX Spectrum chess programs, but as you know,
pressing SPACE key when ‘Colossus 4.0’ is “thinking” displays a new window
containing various searching information like nodes, best line and current line.
So, I got a ZX emulator and the TAP file of ‘Colossus 4.0’ from
<ftp.nvg.unit.no>. Afterwards, I just generated an emulated code almost 10
times slower than the original one, ran it, looked at the current line in
progress and noticed what happened. I also wonder if this kind of ‘PV Search’
gathers in a pretty good PV witch will allow many null-window-alpha-beta cutoffs
on next iterations.

Thanks again,
Cristian
