I just wanted to answer at the FCP Forum, but there I got:
ERROR: Writing prohibited, FEHLER: Schreibsperre

Besides the hints given in the FCP Forum by Peter and Ingo:

assume, you installed Yace as an UCI engine, and not through the uci2wb adapter
of Odd Gunnar - correct?

Did you delete yace.ini?

Does it only happen in tournament?

"doesn't want to load": How exactly do I have to understand this? Is there any
error message?

You mentioned Lambchop and Monarch. Do other engines have no problems?

Can you check the following: Run Lambchop.exe and Monarch.exe (or however they
are called called) *without* GUI. Type

uci<Enter>
[and then quit]

You should see several lines starting with "option name". Do some of the lines
continue with "type string" ? So something like "option name blah type string
default <empty>"? If you have other engines that work - do they contain the
"type string" (Many will have "option name NalimovPath type string default
<empty>", my question is about other type string options besides NalimovPath).

BTW. I don't have Fritz 8, so I cannot check it.

Regards,
Dieter
