For computer chess, basically all that matters is your processor, and the 2600+ is a fine processor. Chess programs have such small working sets that the chipset and memory don't really matter. Flight sims are another issue entirely. Those will be mainly video card constrained. The GF4 4200 you're looking at is still a nice card. I'm sure it'll work fine. -Tom
