I am not sure how much can be proved with engine matches on one computer but I am running some between S7 and S7.04 at various time controls in the Shredder gui, ponder off, both using the S7 book on my 1.3 mhz celeron computer with these results... g/4 min + 2 sec Shredder 7.04 12.5 Shredder 7 7.5 40/40min Shredder 7.04 1.5 Shredder 7 0.5 g/30 Shredder 7.04 20.5 Shredder 7 19.5 g/60 Shredder 7.04 3.5 Shredder 7 0.5 Need a lot more games, I know, but 7.04 appears to be a little stronger... eric
