there is autoplayer software.

you need a null-modem cable.
connect the serial com-ports.

most WINDOWS programs have autoplayer software integreated in the
GUI.

for DOS programs you need a device-driver (*.com) and a auto232.bat
start-batch.

one machine is the slave, one the master.

start the slave.
start the master and setup the parameters and it runs if you have done
everything accurate.

which programs do you want to play against each other ??
