It can be a place where we all discuss computer chess issues, more or less apart from ICD. This would require significant continued generosity on your part, as things are currently structured. If this is becoming too much of a burden, perhaps others would like to contribute. It can be a place that you run because it makes business sense. It would then exist as a means of funneling customers into ICD, which would hopefully have some concrete payback as far as you are concerned. In this case it might make less sense for others to offer to contribute tangibly, since the place is planned to turn a profit. Perhaps it is a little of both, or was planned as one and turned into the other, but in any case there is some confusion. I am concerned that confusion about what this place is can only cause bad feelings on the part of some people and perhaps on the part of many people. It might be good for you to clarify your feelings about this place, so people (including you) can know how to regard everyone involved in this, and most particularly themselves when they go to consider how large their own contribution should be. bruce
