If I wanted to boil an egg on my CPU, I'd have to wait a really long time. More likely it would rot since 38 C is ideal for a wide range of bacteria. If every magazine in Greece writes that AMD is hot, then every magazine is Greece is ignorant. I own machines with all these chips (both AMD & Intel), and I can post temperature data all day long that disputes the claim that AMD is hotter than Intel. The Athlon was hotter than the Pentium 3, but they were different generations. The Pentium 4 has been available for at least 3 years now, so any Athlon/Pentium 3 comparison is extremely outdated. -Matt
