Hi Steffen, first of all this is a draw, as already pointed out by Eugene Nalimov. Secondly, the pattern that you mentioned might be Black's mobility, really stunted by White King's olympic stand on b5, preventing any further pawn push. Fritz has excellent endgame knowledge, and apart from Deep Juniour (only +1 for Black) no other program I have at hand now evaluates this position as an easy draw. BTW, I am using my old PII-450 where I do not have Shredder 7 installed. Shredder 7 might "know" that this is a draw, the way Fritz does. I'd bet this is a mobility issue, nothing else. A malus for own pieces not being able to perform a forward push, regardless of material advantage. Difficult to implement though, as seen by programs' analyses. Best, -- Djordje
