I confess I don't have a lot of motivation to help someone who won't bother to
read public sources.

However, I will say that Crafty has different king piece-square tables, and
selects one depending on whether pawns are all on one side, all on the other
side, or on both sides (this is a simple mask operation to determine since
Crafty uses bitboards). Arasan does this also, and also encourages the king to
move close to any passers of its color by adding a bonus based on king-pawn
distance, unless a passer is determined to be already uncatchable by the "square
of the king" rule.

N.b. I would not say this is a sophisticated endgame evaluation. If it plays
well, IMO a large reason is due to achieving decent search depth, and in some
cases, use of tablebases.
