By a "real" match I mean a match of 24 games. Draws count as a 1/2 point wins as 1 point. Time control for the games will be 2 1/2 hours for 40 moves. Upon reaching the time control, 20 moves an hour until the game is over. I would then modify this only for computer vs human matches as follows: On a day where a game goes more than 2 time controls, the human would be able to have an extra day off if he so chooses. But until a match of longer duration is played, you can't really say for sure who would win. If these would have been the conditions for Kasparov - Deep Blue II, would he have lost that match? I doubt it. Same goes for his match against Fritz. Just my opinion. Regards, Jeff
