Subject: games testing question

Author: Uri Blass

I ran a match between list4.61 and movei ponder off(movei always changed the
first move) and the result surprised me

30.5-9.5 for movei

It is clear for me that something was wrong in the match and it seems that for
some reason list was running slower when it was not the case for movei

My question is if there is a way to prevent this in engine-engine games.

I want my programs to refuse to run if another application make them
significantly slower
because I do not want to get disinformation in games.

I prefer to get no information and not disinformation so it may be productive if
there is some application that stops matches when one of the engines is slowed
down by a significant factor.
I used for the match p850 with windows98.

Here is part of the debug file for one of the games.
You can see that list(second) started it's calculations only after a big delay.
