You might need to checkbox "Verbose" when the full analyze options appear. If you need more detail you might press the help button on the full analysis options dialogbox, when it appears. Sorry I can't help with any of your other questions other than to mention that some users have experimented with compatibility mode and disabling some system restore feature.
