Subject: ratings CM8000/CM9000

I accidently brought Chessmaster 8000 before I even knew there was a CM9000.
What is the rating of them both on a Intel Pentium 4 2.4 ghz with ddr 256 ram
with 60 gig hard drive. The ram runs at about 333 mhz. I played Mateo a 25 10
and won easily. It seems that CM knows how to lose to simple-minded nitwits like
myself. I hate playing in weekend swisses because in a 5 round tournament you
could be up 3.5 - .5 and be totally smashing in the last game. Your fortune will
change so fast because you will fall flat on your face and your oponent will
simply lay his foot down on you to claim victory. I had this happen to me on
several occasions and yes I know the "agony of defeat". Well as short stories go
on CCC you probably guess that I am more worry about playing chess rather than
worrying about the probability of losing which drives masters and experts crazy
when they play me. Some say I play like I am a #1 seed in the NCAA basketball
tournament. My play seem to emulate Karpov and Topalov. Especially since I have
studied over 1500 of their games on Chess Assistant 6. I hope this short article
is keeping you entertained so far as US Chess goes.
