Hello Pavel, From the Chessbase Playchess Server Using your Fritz8 program, go into the Playchess Server, log on, and then it may prompt you to get the upgrade which it offers. If for some reason that does not happen, you can then click onto Help and then you will see a "Query Upgrade" selection. Click onto that and go from there. It should upgrade your interface and change your Fritz8 engine from 8.008 to 8.0023. IMPORTANT !!! BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING........MAKE A COPY OF YOUR FRITZ8 8.008 ENGINE AND PLACE IT SOMEWHERE FOR SAFE KEEPING. THEN DO THE UPGRADE. SOME, INCLUDING MYSELF, HAVE FOUND SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE FRITZ8 8.0023 ENGINE, WHERE THE ENGINE WON'T MAKE SOME CAPTURES OR MOVES TO THE e4 SQUARE EVEN THOUGH THAT WOULD BE AN EASILY WINNING MOVE........WHICH BY THE WAY THE FRITZ8 8.008 ENGINE AND OTHER ENGINES WOULD MAKE WITH OUT MUCH THOUGHT AT ALL. SO IN THE EVENT THAT YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE 8.0023 ENGINE YOU COULD ALWAYS REMOVE IT AND PLACE IT ELSEWHERE FOR SAFE KEEPING AND REPLACE IT WITH THE ORIGINAL 8.008 ENGINE. Best Brian Katz
