Are there any performance data for the Athlon Barton at chess? The claim seems to be that the 1.8GHz Barton (2500+) is faster than the 2.0GHz (2400+) Thoroughbread. I find this surprising, but having been beaten to death by Arasan on a 2500+ Barton on ICC recently can believe it - although it is probably the program rather than the chip. Any comparative measurements for chess programs eg crafty. Frank
