For Arasan, the XP2500 is about 1.5x faster than the Athlon 1.3GHz it was using previously. Maybe a little more. Which does indicate that the Barton gives an advantage that is greater than just the increase in clock speed. However, there are several things that are different: the Barton has a larger cache, runs with a 333 Mhz FSB, and (in this case) is using PC2700 memory with a dual-channel memory controller. --Jon
