I had about 20 Ebayers pay me for auctions via Paypal - no problems so far , but
it is risker than getting paid up front - because it can be challanged.

Paying through Paypal is just like using a credit card - with about same risk
as using a credit card.

I follow these steps in accepting Paypal through EBay.

1. Must have +5 rating NO negative feedbacks.
2. Address must be Paypal veriable.
3. In all of my auctions, I either require insurance or I pay for insurance out
of the shipping fees. Although, a signature for a proof of delivery is ALL that
is required - if there is no insurance, SOMEBODY will get stuck. Unless stated
otherwise, once you ship an item, it is owned by the buyer. Most buyers DO NOT
REALIZE that and with their typical mail order companies - they assume if the
product is not delivered - they will not have to pay and mail order companies -
becasue of volume are OK with this because they are self insuring.. (There is a
DISCONNET HERE) But imagine the case when the items gets lost, you have proof
of shipping but not proof of delivery - well it could get ugly real fast and for
small dollar items - it's not worth the headache. So I always make sure
shipping is insured and I save the receipt. Post office or UPS loses the item
or it gets destroyed - you are not out of any money and the buyer is not out.
Everybody stays happy and life goes on.

Insurance is just $1.30 fper $50 USPS and even lower for UPS.

5 out of 10,000 USPS shipments are either lost or damaged (0.5%).
