What speed is the m515? CT on my 33Mhz palm displays 550 NPS (i.e. 8 >times less than pocket fritz2 - CT and Shredder are almost the same on the PC) >for the same position; so given that there's not a huge difference in the >playing strength of the programs at the 1.2 Ghz level, I'd expect Pocket Ruffian >to be higher. I will post the NPS for CT tomorrow, it is on my other machine. The 206 processing power may be restristed by bus size, Tom K. posted this possibility on a different thread. Ruffian could be stronger, it is just an estimate based on NPS and my own playing. Extensive testing could show Ruffian to be stronger, I wish we had more extensive comp vs comp and h v comp for the PPC and Palm devices. Since I play Ruffian on both the AMD 1.2Ghz and the PPC, it is possible that I have just developed some Ruffian specific defenses.
