Subject: How to add tablebases to an engine?

I've held off on the tablebases for a while, but Zappa's endgame play could use
a little boost.  Plus, it is just cool when the engine announces MAT156 or some
such.

I've looked at the egtb.cpp file in the crafty distro; it looks like most was
written by Nalimov, but there is also some sort of SMP lock. There is also the
usual disclaimer asking for written permission, and I see no reason not to play
by Nalimov's rules, but I don't know where to contact him. A few pointers would
be greatly appreciated.
