I also read long time ago that when he was still playing chess he approached a
girl in moscow and she refused to speak to him and told him you are only a chess
player, and he asked her " what do you mean? and she replied you should become a
Doctor" Gata then asked his father if he could study to become a Doctor and his
father answer was only after you try your best to beat Karpov.
He could also return back like Dr. Alekhine did.
