You may be referring to the 1988 World Blitz Championship in St John's New Brunswick. Tal won that tournament. Kasparov stalemated K. Georgiev with the KQB vs. K - he missed a mate in two moves. I remember this because the entire event (Candidates matches and Blitz Championship) were covered on the Canadian sports network and I taped it. Still have the tape. > >John Coffey
