The main problem with the 6- and 7-man EGTs is transmission, even more than
creation.

It is not trivial to ftp a 6-man EGT, even with Rob's excellent facility.
However, it is doable with broadband in maybe 2 days if Pawns are involved.

A factor of 60 kicks in for each extra piece.

Nalimov EGTs handle 'e.p.' but not castling opportunities. There are 32
combinations of the 5 opportunities being available, which need handling in a
generic way with 32 'zones' inside the EGT. Of course, many of these zones are
'null'.

There was something in Scientific American recently about new 'nano'
technologies for solid-state mass-memory. I can't see beyond 7-man at the
moment but never say "never".
