You still miss the most important.

HE didn't go into public and distributed his postcards or wrote a message here.

That was Bruce's "action".

Why he should "defend"?

Others propose he should apologize.

What a pompous nonsense.

If I ever wrote private email I expected a little bit more style by the
addressee...
