*** General Patch Information ***

Regardless of the version you were running prior to the execution of
this patch, your version of Chessmaster 6000 is now 1.0.1.

If you experience any problems with this patched version of your
Chessmaster 6000 program, before you contact Technical Support, please
try to first completely uninstall the program.
To do this, you must run the Uninstaller found in the program
group as well as manually uninstalling any files from previous patched
versions (if this applies). The Uninstaller can only remove files that
it originally installed, which is why you must sometimes delete the
newer files. If you want to save your games that you've accumulated
from playing Chessmaster 6000, save them to another directory (for
example: create a new directory in the Mindscape directory called
"My Games" and save all of your games there) then delete the entire
folder called "Chessmaster 6000".
Then reinstall the Chessmaster 6000 program and apply the patch again.

Remember, you must have the Chessmaster 6000 CD #1 in the CD-ROM drive
to apply any patch.

                          ***What's New?***

1. The computer opponents now more accurately determine the amount of
time that they have to think about their moves when using Fischer time
controls.

2. Several cosmetic fixes and clarifications to tutorials.

3. Corrected various palette errors, especially when switching between
Chessmaster 6000 and another application in 256-color mode.

4. Fixed a bug involving not being able to select the last item in a list
box.

5. Fixed a bug which would display the "Stop Viewing Game" context menu
item when a user was not connected online.

6. Fixed a bug involving asking for Natural Language Advice after the
game was over. The "Move" button was visible in the Natural Language
Advice window, and pressing this button would cause random behavior.

7. General improvements to some interface elements.
