My reaction was "why did you send this to me?" He responded and I did not
reply. I know that others responsed much more vigorously. Obviously, since one
of the people who got it was Bob.

But even so, it seems very clear that the intent was to cause a reaction. I
mean, if I throw a rock through your window, you shouldn't have to say anything
to let me know that you won't appreciate it if I throw another one.

The intent of this whole thing was to provoke a discussion of the war. I don't
see that it has much of anything to do with the war.

It's interesting that the CSS thread about this, the first responses are about
the war.

"Bruce gets rude email, is pissed off."

"Well, what do you expect, the war is illegal."

I don't give a shit if the war is illegal, with regard to this incident. This
kind of thing crosses every line, as far as I'm concerned. The Germans can't
understand this because they have a different cultural deal.

Bizarre response as far as I'm concerned.

And you know, it's not just, hey, here's shit in your email, pphhhbt. It's that
there isn't even any effort to talk to me. It was like, you are an American,
therefore you are stupid and understand nothing, despite the fact that I barely
know you and probably know nothing about what you think about this, here is a
piece of shit, bon appetite.

I bet that as far as the sender knew, I opposed the war.

I barely even know this person and he does this. Cripes.
