If you expect any significant amount of download traffic, then you may need to upgrade beyond what a free account provides. Whatever you do, I'd suggest that you register your own domain name so that you can later switch hosting providers without any disruption to your users. Dotster (http://www.dotster.com) has an inexpensive registration service. There are others. --Jon On April 05, 2003 at 14:35:30, Moe Fox wrote: >Some people here have their chess site hosted at Geocities.com >Maybe there are better free hosts. >I am reluctant to use anything that is related to yahoo. > >If you do not access your Geocities account or do not update your Geocities site >for a while, after how many months will your Geocities site be closed down and >your files lost ?
