If it wasn't for millions of dollars of allied aid (directly), and lots more in humanitarian aid, thousands more Germans would have starved or died from disease after WWII, and your country would have been in ruins for generations. And just how "imperialistic" is the US and/or Britian? If that was true, then why the hell isn't half of Germany a British province or a state in our Union? Why aren't the Phillipines, Japan, Italy, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Afghanistan, Panama, Kosovo, Bosnia, indeed, Iraq (from Desert Storm in 1991) our "colonies"? Because we aren't imperialists, and you don't know your elbow from your ___hole. Read up on the UN's weapon inspectors reports and news releases. Saddam's deceit and lies regarding his weapons are well documented - by experts from around the world. Your blind spot will be cured immediately on the day a few thousand of your countrymen are viciously killed by terrorists. Perhaps some anthrax or a spray of reisen, nerve gas in a subway, or just a few hijacked airplane suicide attacks. On that day, your attitude will shift, believe it. Everyone is saddened by the innocent loss of life in Iraq, not just Germans or the French. What the US and the UN have asked of Iraq is easy to do. South Africa disarmed through the UN - showing great cooperation and a template for Iraq to follow. But Saddam's not interested. More than anything he wants to have WMD to help conquer or threaten other countries. And he is a war monger, first, last, and foremost. Dave
