Distance to the move that zero's the 50 move counter. ie a capture,pawnmove or
checkmate.

Yes, but it's not as precise. You can use less bits by only setting a bit for
win/lost/draw. You would have to do some additional work when 2 moves are both
winning. fe 1st choose the move that captures a piece 2nd choose a move that
advances a pawn 3rd choose a move that puts the oppo king in a corner. Basicly
make sure there is some progress.
