Hi!

I have some questions about the feature „Interactive analysis in CA 6.1“ but I´m
not able to find an answer in the help-file. So maybe someone has experiences
with this feature and can help me as I have the impression that it might be

2. What does „level of variations“ mean? It can be regulated from 0 to 9. Any
ideas about an optimal setting?
3. Is it advisable to use a high number of „halfmoves to play“ or not? Sure it
takes a lot of time but what setting gives a good result (time against quality)?
4. How to use „increase depth“ and „decrease depth“?
5. What engine to use? I have the impression that apart from CT14 also Shredder
7 UCI is doing a nice job.

I would like to exchange experiences with other CA-users as I think it is a real
alternative to ChessBase8 because of this feature. Sorry to say but the
documentation of ChessAssistant seems to have some „holes“ (BTW: Is there a
German help file available for CA 6.1??)

Thanks for any help!

Peter

P.S. I read that CA7 has even more options fo
