Hi! I have some questions about the feature „Interactive analysis in CA 6.1“ but I´m not able to find an answer in the help-file. So maybe someone has experiences with this feature and can help me as I have the impression that it might be really a very efficient thing... 1. What is best setting for „default depth“? I´m sure it depends on the engine I use but using „ChessTiger 14“ I have the impression that 5 is too little! What does it mean? As CT14 starts analysing with ply=7 or 8 I dont think that „default depth“ is identical to plies?! 2. What does „level of variations“ mean? It can be regulated from 0 to 9. Any ideas about an optimal setting? 3. Is it advisable to use a high number of „halfmoves to play“ or not? Sure it takes a lot of time but what setting gives a good result (time against quality)? 4. How to use „increase depth“ and „decrease depth“? 5. What engine to use? I have the impression that apart from CT14 also Shredder 7 UCI is doing a nice job. I would like to exchange experiences with other CA-users as I think it is a real alternative to ChessBase8 because of this feature. Sorry to say but the documentation of ChessAssistant seems to have some „holes“ (BTW: Is there a German help file available for CA 6.1??) Thanks for any help! Peter P.S.
