Oh yes, there is.
I'm convinced that the book learning of the Chessbase GUI is much better than
the book learning of the Chess Tiger engine itself. It is aggressive and has
proven its efficiency, at least in comp-comp games.
Under the Chessbase GUI, the book management is done by the GUI. Under the
Lokasoft version of Chess Tiger 15 the book management is done by the engine.
The book management and book learning done by the engine is not as aggressive
and efficient as Chessbase GUI book management.
I do not know how much better it can get under the Chessbase GUI, but I'm
convinced that it can be significant.
However the book used by default under the Lokasoft GUI has been written BY HAND
by Jeroen Noomen. The book used by the Chessbase version of Chess Tiger 15 is
probably not as fine tuned, so here the point goes to the Lokasoft version.
All in all I do not know what can be the result of a different book/book
learning. But it could be that the results of the Chessbase version of Chess
Tiger 15 are going to be different from the results of the Lokasoft version.
Ladies and gentlemen, that could be the topic of a very interesting experiment!
