In Switzerland, most people who play a chess engine, buy Fritz, because that's
more or less the only engine, which a typical store sells here. They never heard
of Shredder, Tiger etc. Once in a while I see an old Chessmaster version. But
that's about it, as far as I can tell. of course the average CCC reader or the
average engine-engine player is different, but I doubt they're in the majority.

Hardly anyone in my local chess club ever _heard_ of the SSDF. They just buy
what the stores have to sell. (that's how they got their PC in the first place
too ;)
