I have the same problem. I love the classic books myself. Luckily Chessbase 8 can work with its database in either notation. When reading the classics I choose descriptive, and you can recall any of the games in the database and it will show up as descriptive. Probaly am instant translation using an equivelent cross-table. Chessmaster, also, has always supported DN. I wish Rebel would as I like to check the analysis given in books against the computer analysis and I would prefer that program. Funny that the standard chessbase GUI for their engines does not support DN. Why is that? On April 11, 2003 at 17:14:48, Bernie Shapiro wrote: >Many of the classics are written in DN.
