      Thanks for the help..............but no joy!! However I did manage to move
mcpro.exe (the correct file name) to the c drive ( it is viewable from the
windows explorer ) however it just said "ok" -- no question to say "yes" to was
offered.  ( I am doing this from dos prompt from windows Me) I cliked on the
executable file but STILL got the "security error # blah blah  -prgram not
authorized to operate on this disk.  I subsequently effected part two of your
suggestion( from dos prompt of win me) line "protect c: a: " verbatim but get
"bad command or file name"........ do I need to try to move the setup file to
windows?  thanks again Alex.
