Tfy contribution. Yes, it's actual games that I'm focussing on here. Shamkovich-Wirthensohn, KQPKQ, as analysed in a Mednis book on 'Endgame Strategy' is another. Mednis gave a DTZ-minimaxing line based on Ken Thompson's original DTZ EGT for KQPKQ ... which would have run 'the winner' into a position with DTZ > 50. g
