For me it is good known idea. I frequently reading this paper.
For me was interesting opinion by other people who good known this
idea. Vincent Diepeveen was this person. I'm absolutly sure - he known
what he write. After his post I will not try include this prunning
technique in my program in near time because his opinion is the same
as my prediction.
