Buy a Palm (or Sony...) handheld computer. You can for example buy the Palm ZIRE
for $89 or less.

Then install Chess Tiger on your Palm handheld.

You get a 2300 USCF elo (2100 FIDE elo) chess computer that can save and load
games, exchange them with your PC and more.

Also, playing with a stylus is much more convenient than playing with small
plastic pieces (and with a Palm you cannot lose the pieces!).
