based on previous threads, I can tell you that most players here consider F5.32 to be a "very fast" and "stupid" version of Fritz- especially compared to later versions.--like F8 Changes in the gui also affect make any engine used in it a more powerful analysis tool-- providing that one understands how to set up analysis for your purposes. Another alternative is to use different gui for analysis- chess assistant 7 has a different analytical approach- also uses shredder7 and chess tiger 15-- but not fritz. results of analysis can also be skewed by the amount of time used to analyze a position, so the 'speed' of your cpu might be an issue too. You might get ther most bang for your buck by swapping chips or upgrading the operating system in order to let it use memory better in modern chess programs before you spend money on them. but fritz is cheap in the USA- under $50, some places under $40, comparedf to $80+ for f532 when it was published, why is this such a big decision?
