Due to the fact that ctg does not provide the same move preferences as the bkt does, there MUST be differences in the ctg so that it is clear that the differences let Shredder suffer in CB-GUI. On the other hand the book learning in CB-GUI - excellent implementation as Christophe Theron already found out - might be superior to the book learning in Shredder classic. So absurd it sounds, it is very likely that Shredder CB with worse book lines performs better in SSDF than Shredder classic with good book lines, only due to superior learning.
