Thanks to everybody.. the engine now seems to work.. now and then however (after
closing and reopening junior for some times) the program displays an "engine
error"... which does not appear in "normal" use... As to the engine: junior 5
seems VERY similar to Fritz 5 to me... in many cases it will chose the same
moves and give more or less the same evaluation... I also ran a few games with
hiarcs 6 16 bit (which should be even slower than the version run in Fritz 5
because of the overhead needed to adapt the 16 bit engine to the 32 bit program)
and, quite surprisingly, at 10 minute games the two engines seem at the same
level.. Junior will exploit the middlegame.. hiarcs the endgame.
