If this helps, Evans writes on Taimanov-Fischer 5th match game, 1971 in his book
"the 10 most common chess mistakes", page 220 entitled demoralization which I
just happen to be currently reading: "when you start losing game after game,
it's hard to keep up your spirits. Many of Fischer's opponents discovered this
sad fact of life. Pundits dubbed it " Fischer fear." "taimanov had already lost
the first 4 games of this match..I was sitting in the audience..With plenty of
time on his clock a demoralized Taimanov snatched the tainted pawn and had to
resign after rxf6?? qd4+ 2.rf2 ra1+ 3.kh2 qxf2.

Taimanov blamed his error on high blood pressure and a violent headache."I never
beat a healthy opponent," quipped Fischer.

To anyone desiring to improve their game I recommend this book.
