Interesting, the method I described in my FAQ works with Chessmaster 8000. In
Chessmaster 9000 it analyzes only briefly before stopping, but as you have found
in CM 9000 you need to tell Chessmaster that it is in analysis mode using
cm-Para=1 which is the equalavant of setboard=1 in Xboard protocol 2.

Good catch, I only tested CM 8000 (as the commandline on my webpage shows) and
it works. I didnt test CM9000 enough to notice the difference.
