Like Bob said, the density's are less, as are the latencies (and that's the difference in speed). The data rate is no better (but you'll notice a speed up favoring the 15K SCSI's in positions which must repeatedly access the EGTB's). Visit this site for a comparison of fan noise - one of the major noise contributors for PC's: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/directron/noise.html As expected, the fans moving less air make less noise - but there are differences worth noting. Particular care is needed if you're an overclocker! For Hard disk info, check out: http://storagereview.com. They've got a ton of comparisons of hard disks. If you're going into some competition with your program/computer, I'd get the fastest SCSI, otherwise, it's not worth the extra $$$. Dave
