I suggest visiting http://www.playwitharena.com/directory/download.htm and
downloading ELOStat 1.1b.  If you run this on your PGN collection, it will give
you an estimate of the rating difference between the two versions.  As a matter
of fact, if you have a complete PGN collection of all matches played between
your many versions, it will process the whole thing and generate a rating list
for all versions.

Just choose any arbitrary starting rating, like 2200.  The absolute rating won't
matter as much as the differences between ratings.
