This guy used to connect to our local brazilian FICS server, jogo.cex.org.br (called CEX here) and tried to inflate his rating as much as he could; as the administrator responsible for computer accounts I asked him about the engine but never got any technical answer; sometimes we saw at CEX that he was playing and disconnecting very often, sometimes he used Crafty to play endgames specially when he was playing against other computer accounts. The result ? Well, he was in the abuser list for a great amount of time... got +noplayed by most of the other owners of computer accounts. His site is still on the net, but he never launchs its "commercial version"... Just clear enough for me and the other admins at CEX: Interchess is a joke. He's probably using a strong machine at his work, maybe a Computer Store or something like that. I tried to talk to some american FICS's admins but they did not believe me... A. Ponti
